Understanding Big Pharma.
Is there more money in health care or sick care? Does the pharmaceutical industry have any interest in making people better? Or are their only interests in making money? Why do they focus so hard on marketing disease and pushing drugs? They pressure your doctors into prescribing their drugs and mass market to get you as the consumer to watch their commercials and persuade you to ask your doctor about taking them. They are very skilled in influencing us and selling us on anything they want us to take. Take a look at their ads that they market.
Some of the largest companies that exists are led by the pharmaceutical companies. These companies are known as Big Pharma and led by Johnson and Johnson, Pfizer, Bayer, etc. Their profits are in the trillions.
They spend more money on promoting their drugs, then they do researching the affects. Thousands of people a year are on new medication that hasn’t been researched very long at all. We should have a strong understanding on why we need prescriptions and if it's beneficial in the long run or if there are additional efforts that can be put in place.
It's really up to the consumer to become aware and question why we are being told to take anything. Years ago most of the conditions that are mainstream today were at one point so rare and unheard of. Type 2 diabetes and asthma are extremely common in children today.
This is an epidemic that is created by the pharmaceutical companies. However, they have come out with some helpful medicine that is beneficial. It's just important to understand what your body needs and what it doesn't.
